The Hair Transplantation Process
1. Consultation & Donor Area Analysis
The journey begins with a detailed scalp examination. Our experts assess your donor area, hair density, and the stage of your hair loss (Norwood Scale). This determines how many grafts can be extracted and which method is most suitable.
2. Hairline Design
Designing a natural hairline is one of the most important steps. At PG Clinics, our specialists design your new hairline to respect natural anatomy and facial proportions. A well-planned hairline not only enhances appearance but also boosts emotional well-being.
3. Extraction of Grafts
Hair follicles are harvested one by one from the donor area (usually the back of the head) using a 0.7 mm micromotor.
Grafts are stored in a special solution to preserve their vitality until implantation.
The goal is to minimize the time grafts spend outside the body, ensuring maximum survival and growth.
4. Opening Channels
With Sapphire FUE, microchannels are opened using sapphire blades. Their smooth surface and antimicrobial properties minimize tissue deformation and reduce infection risk.
With DHI, channels are not pre-opened. Grafts are directly implanted into the scalp with the implanter pen.
5. Implantation of Grafts
Each graft is placed carefully according to the natural angle, direction, and depth of hair growth. This micro-technique ensures a dense, natural, and permanent result.

Aftercare & Recovery

Daily Washing: Patients wash their hair once a day for the first 9 days, as demonstrated in the clinic.
10-Day Scab Phase: On the 10th day, scabs are gently removed under supervision or with video consultation.
Shock Loss: Temporary shedding occurs in the first few weeks – this is a natural part of the cycle.
New Growth: Visible results begin at 3–4 months, with full growth between 9–12 months.
Post-Operation Recommendations:
Avoid heavy exercise, sauna, and swimming for the first month.

– A hair transplant is a procedure in which grafts (hair follicles) are taken from the
back of the head (the donor area) and transplanted into bald or thinning areas. As
long as the operation is performed properly, the results are usually permanent.
– Natural appearance is one of the most frequently asked questions about the
success of a hair transplant. Properly designing the hairline and placing the grafts in
the right direction is crucial. A skilled team can ensure a natural-looking result.
– The quality of the donor area, the type of hair loss, and the patient’s age are key
factors in determining eligibility. Just having hair loss doesn’t automatically mean
you're a candidate for a transplant.
Generally, healthy individuals aged 20 and above can undergo a hair transplant.
– We recommend resting at home for the first 2 days. There will typically be scabbing
and redness for 7–10 days. These signs usually diminish significantly within this
period, and after that, it's not noticeable that you had a transplant.
– Although the operation itself takes one day, the success of the procedure heavily
depends on the pre-operative analysis and post-operative care. The scabbing phase
lasts about 7–10 days with close monitoring, followed by a 1-year follow-up process.
– Price alone shouldn't be the determining factor. The high number of clinics
increases competition, but also the risk. What truly matters is the experience of the
team, the technique used, the before-and-after results of patients, and the clinic’s
hygiene standards.
In hair transplantation, a one-year follow-up and support
– The grafts taken from the donor area must stay alive and be properly implanted. If
they stay outside the body too long or are handled poorly, the chance of them not
surviving increases. The quality of the procedure and the technique used matter
more than the number of grafts.
– Using special shampoos, serums, and vitamins is not mandatory, but it is highly
recommended. These help support the growth of new hair and strengthen the
transplanted follicles. Especially in the first 6 months, proper care products directly
influence the results.
– Yes, women can also undergo hair transplant surgery. However, the process differs
somewhat from men. Blood tests, the type of hair loss, and the condition of the donor
area must all be considered.
– It’s possible that someone who has had a transplant may need a second session
later on – but not everyone does.
If only a specific area was treated during the first procedure, other areas might
require treatment in the future. Also, natural hair in untreated areas can continue to
fall out.
However, the transplanted hair will not fall out again, and there will be no need for
another transplant in those areas.
