Buttock aesthetics, often referred to as gluteoplasty, aims to create fuller, more lifted, and proportionate buttocks for an aesthetically pleasing body contour. Popular techniques include the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), which uses processed fat from the patient’s own body injected into the buttocks, and silicone implants for volume and shape. The chosen method depends on individual needs, with BBL generally considered simpler and safer, though sometimes multiple sessions are required to achieve the desired result. Silicone implants, while delivering excellent outcomes, involve a higher risk of complications since they introduce a foreign material into the body.

Patients are advised to quit smoking at least one month before the procedure to ensure optimal healing. The operation, which lasts 1–3 hours under general anesthesia, typically involves a one-day hospital stay. Most patients can return to daily activities within two weeks. Wearing a supportive corset for about six weeks and undergoing lymphatic drainage massages helps reduce swelling. Small, 3–5 mm scars may remain at the sites where fat was harvested, but these are generally minimal and inconspicuous.
